Christopher D. Smithers Foundation Special Award winner “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans” is from the german director Werner Herzog, who has made films like “Rescue Dawn” and “Fitzcarraldo”. It is a remake of 1992 “Bad Lieutenant” from Abel Ferrara with Harvey Keitel. The new “Bad Lieutenant” follows Terence McDonough, a corrupt policeman, who has to investigate the rape of a nun. Directed by Werner Herzog. Cast: Nicolas Cage, Val Kilmer, Eva Mendes, Jennifer Coolidge and Xzibit.
